Help With Getting Rid Of Fret Buzz On A Gibson Les Paul?
Hey, first off, i 've been playing for about 7 years so i can handle some more complex language :). i 've just straightened out the truss rod, and i 've found that i 'm getting quite a bit of fret buzz now, to a point where when i fret down on the second fret of say the b string, it wont be audible due to the 3rd fret muting it. i 've tried to adjust the bridge, but when i keep raising it, as soon as the fret buzz goes away, at that point the bridge is too high. the string is too far from the fret. i 'm wondering if anyone can provide some insight to this issue im having because when i look on youtube for how to videos, it just tells me the steps ive taken, and assumes that it will work for me, but it hasnt. in advance, thank you very much for your response. cheers (Read answers)

Should I Sell My Gibson Les Paul Studio For $1500?
1. is $1500 a good offer for a gibson les paul studio of unknown year (most likely late 80 's) with some minor cosmetic dings? 2. is the value of this guitar likely to increase very much with time?i have a gibson les paul studio, currently loaned out to a friend who is now offering me $1500 for it. i never considered selling it and don 't really want to, but could use the money. i have a lot of sentimental value with this guitar, it was a gift from my grandpa (who originally bought it super cheap from a yard sale and is encouraging me to sell it) and i really advanced my skills on this guitar. however, being honest i 'm an intermediate level guitarist and haven 't played it much lately, it 's much more difficult for me to play than a cheaper ibanez i once had and i recently bought an acoustic so i 've been focusing on that a little more. anyway, i have no idea what year it is, i remember a guitar store owner saying he thought it was a mid-late 80 's model. it 's black with gold pickups, and has a few cosmetic dings and could probably use a good tune up. i don 't know the serial number since i don 't have the guitar with me. i 've seen a crazy range of prices for these guitars and don 't know if $1500 is a good offer. thoughts? thanks. Looking For Some Advice On A 2004 Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Cherry Burst?
I inherited the guitar from my dad but although he was a musician, he specifically bought it for me to sell on if i ever had to. he told me that to gauge the price i had to look at the price of the latest ones. in my area the 2011 ranges up to £3000 but i don 't know a lot about them. the serial number starts with cs4 and it has rarely been played and never gigged. i don 't know how to evaluate it and don 't have anyone who knows about gibsons to ask. on ebay the prices are so varied sometimes over £1000 in difference and so many models like custom, custom shop, standard custom and custom vos etc that i don 't have a clue.my question is basically what would be a good price? i don 't want to ask for too little but don 't know what too little would be especially regarding age etc. i know he told me that the guitars should appreciate in value especially on anniversaries which in this case it 's two years from being ten years old.any advice or help would be appreciated on this.thanks in advance.thanks for the reply and info jcri might have picked him up wrong but my dad had said something about the anniversaries adding extra value or something. the main thing would be that i don 't want to under-value it, or try asking for more than it 's worth.i 'll give it a while and try the performing arts sectionthanks again (Read answers)

Okay, basically i have a 1000 dollar budget. i 'm looking for a les paul style guitar, and i 've narrowed it down the these 2. if you have any other suggestions, please feel free.my question is what one is better? and why?the agile al-3000 will run me about 600 dollars, and i 'll probably end up changing the pickups to some pearly gates or maybe buy a new wah pedal with that money. i 'll also probably do some more minor upgrades, like the a potentiometer upgrade.with the studio, i 'm not sure if i 'd change the pickups or not. if so, that 'll be later on down the road.i 'll also be doing a pot upgrade, since the studios only have linear pots.my playing style is that of... jimmy page/ led zeppelin, thin lizzy, guns n ' roses, black sabbath, aerosmith, etc. (Read answers)
